We study the genetic determinants of disease.
Our research lab, led by Dr. John A. Morris, is located at the Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research in downtown Toronto, and part of the University of Toronto’s Department of Molecular Genetics.
We are a human functional genomics lab. We use cutting-edge technologies, such as CRISPR and single-cell sequencing, to study how genetic variation across the human genome impacts complex traits or disease risk. We do this to identify functional noncoding regions of the genome and make novel discoveries about how genes influence traits and diseases.
